Build a schedule preview

Treat the result as a planning draft. Compare it with the official workplace roster before adding future shifts to your calendar.

How to use the generated dates

  1. Confirm the anchor date. The first selected date must be a known workday at the start of the cycle.
  2. Check at least two cycles. Compare the preview with the official roster before relying on later dates.
  3. Add shift times separately. A rotation shows work and rest days; your actual start time, end time, workplace, breaks, and pay rules still matter.
  4. Record exceptions. Overtime, swaps, training, leave, and cancelled shifts should be entered without silently changing the underlying pattern.

Why common names are not enough

A pattern such as 2-2-3 or 4-on/4-off describes a repeating sequence, but it does not define every employer's day/night assignment, handover time, break policy, or payroll week. Use the pattern as a draft, not as proof of when you work.

Private by design

This generator runs locally in your browser. The selected date and generated schedule are not sent to My Shift Planner.

Move the confirmed pattern into a planner

Once the dates match your official roster, a dedicated shift planner can attach times, workplaces, reminders, hours, differentials, and pay estimates to each shift.

Keep planning

Turn the preview into a useful work calendar

Choose the nurse planner for healthcare schedules or the work planner for other shift-based roles.
